The Green Diabase, also known as Dolerite and Microgabbro in the literature, is a dark to medium green colored basaltic stone with fine inclusions caused by cristallizations. It draws a homogenous and grainy green pattern. The structure is comparable to Basalt and Granite, with minor differences between those characteristic stone types. It's hardness data is more than granite, which makes it more durable.
The hardness number of our Diabase is 7 on the Mohs Scale. It has many favorable physical characteristics that makes it the perfect stone for outdoor usage, withstanding harsh weathering and stress conditions.

Diabase Surface Treatments
In our factory we cut the raw material to requested size via ST machines and can apply a wide variety of surface treatments such as honing, polishing, sand-blasting, brushing, etching and other combination of treatments. With every surface treatments it is possible to see the different tints of green.

The hardness and quality of this stone is suitable for outdoor usage, such as pavements, streets, roads and squares. The wide usage of diabase can be seen in building facades and swimming pools. With the proper surface treatment, it enables our Diabase to perform better than other comparable stones in its applicability.
